Closely following Facebook Twitter too has enabled HTTPS access on Twitter and this means you can use Twitter on a public Wi-Fi without running into a danger of your account being hijacked by a prowler as it recently happened with a few celebrities. Taking cue from their public anguish Twitter now allows you to activate HTTPS connection from anywhere in the world.
In order to activate HTTPS access on Twitter simply login to your Twitter account using your profile page on Twitter. After you have logged in click the down arrow on the type right corner and then click Settings
On the proceeding screen, if you cannot see it yet, scroll down a bit and at the bottom you will see a checkbox with the label “Always use HTTP”. Check it if you want to activate HTTPS and then click save. That’s it. Your Twitter activities are now secure.
