How to use the Amazon cloud drive

Amazon has started providing a cloud drive just like you have DropBox but unlike DropBox that offers you 2 GB of server space free of cost the Amazon cloud drive offers 5 GB of free space. After that if you require more space then of course there are also paid plans available just like Amazon’s S3 service.

In order to use the Amazon cloud drive you need to have an account with Amazon.com which you probably already have. Even if you don’t have an account you can easily create a free account at Amazon. Once you have created an account for yourself go to Amazon.com. On the left hand sidebar you will see “Amazon Cloud Drive”. Click it.

You will be asked to enter your login details. Enter your e-mail ID and password and you are greeted with this screen:

Once you click the “Upload files” icon you are greeted with the terms and conditions page and after that you have to verify yourself by entering a captcha value.

Once that is through the interface is pretty much quite intuitive. You can choose the folder to which you would like to upload your files and then simply upload the files into that folder.

A good thing about storing your files in the Amazon cloud drive is that once you have installed its Amazon music player you can directly stream your audio and video files onto your computer and also your Android devices. All you have to do is download and install the Amazon Cloud Player and you are ready to go. Everyday Amazon also offers free albums and music tracks to download.
