You can hide your Facebook posts from specific people if you don’t want them to see them (for instance there might be certain Facebook posts that you want your parents or siblings to see). Conversely you can allow only selected people to see your individual posts.
Whenever you decide to post a new Facebook entry just below the text box you can see a “lock” icon with the down arrow. When you click it it opens a drop down menu that has the following choices: Everyone; Friends of Friends; Friends Only and Customize.
In order to hide or block this Facebook post from specific and selected people you should click on “Customize”. This opens up the following window:
If you want to make this post visible to just a few selected people from the drop-down menu you should select Specific People…
In case you want to hide this post from, let’s say, your parents (some of us cannot help adding them as friends) you should use the section “Hide this from” and include the names in the “These people:” box. Click Save Setting and you’re done.
