How to fix your broken Outlook Personal Folders (PST files)

by Sarah Watts

Microsoft Outlook stores all the data, whether it’s contacts, tasks, schedules, calendars or emails, in what it calls “personal folders”, the .pst files. The MS Outlook personal folders break just as the space on your hard disk gets disorganized due indiscriminate installing/uninstalling, copy/pasting/deleting etc. It’s a natural wear and tear process. If you don’t fix your broken Outlook personal folders your copy of Outlook begins to function really slow and it starts crashing without reason (although there is this reason).  But how do you fix your broken Outlook personal folders?

This blog post has a nice tutorial on how to fix your broken Outlook personal folders. In fact it is such a hidden function available in Outlook that you cannot possibly know about unless somebody tells you about it.
