We need stock images for websites and blogs. Most people search for images in different websites and they also use Google’s image search features to find good images. Another source these days is Flickr.
But these are not good ways of obtaining high quality images because these images belong to someone else and anytime they can approach you with a copyright violation notice and make you take the images down. A good solution would be taking your own shots. These days the digital cameras are so easy to operate, and they are not even expensive. Recently I needed some nature images so I went to the local river side and clicked a few. The results were great. I also make extensive use of iStockphoto and you can get a great stock photo for just $1. Another good way of getting images is using free stock images from websites that offer them. The Virtual Hosting blog has links to 100 (legal) sources for free stock images.
