How To Maintain Your Motivation Level For A Long Time
Motivation often comes in spurts and most often it vanishes before we can achieve much. Once you get motivated you need to sustain/maintain motivation level.
Why in the first base do we get motivated?
- We want to get rich
- We want to have sex
- We want to live a happy life
- We want to be famous
- We want to be liked by the others
The list can go on and on. We all have our individual reasons to get motivated. You need motivation to do everything in life; even to get up in the morning and shit you need a motivation of not soiling the clothes you are wearing. You are motivated to cook or purchase food because you don’t want to go hungry. You’re motivated to get a job because you want to have money next month.
So motivation depends on a desire. The deeper the desire is the greater is the motivation. And when do you begin to lose the motivation? When there is no desire, or when you feel that lots of effort will be required on your part and that effort is not worth it, or when you simply think that you cannot do the things for which you were feeling motivated a few days or a few hours ago. This is a primary reason why we’re not able to do things that we should have done to achieve a better level of living.
Sometimes we are aware of the need to stay motivated and we know that the need to remain motivated is very essential to our long-term goal achievements, but still, with every passing minute our motivation level begins to recede and then eventually it disappears, and we are devoid of achieving the greatness that we were supposed to achieve. How can you maintain your motivation level amidst scores of adverse conditions and distractions? John on Pick The Brain tells you how to maintain your motivation level over a long period of time.
