Mint (perhaps it’s still in beta at the time of writing this post) is a nice free online program that helps you organize your finances and keep track of where you money is going. Once you register and enter your information it automatically retrieves and bank and credit card information and then organizes your information systematically (wouldn’t it scare away a few people?). A blog says they use bank-grade security to protect your data.
It gives your current financial status, how much your are spending and on what you are spending. It saves all the numbers under appropriate categories so that you need to input minimum information manually. Mint also advises you how to save by comparing your spendings with those of other users and suggesting you banks and organizations that charge less for the same products and services. Read more about how to save money with Mint in a blog post titled Free online money management with Mint.
