I cannot remember from where I got this but it surely works and I’ve tried it on my laptop — let me know if you are aware of any adverse effect. As you work on your computer day in and day out it slows down because so many known and unknown processes are simultaneously working. Consequently, you often reboot your system. There is a better way of doing it and you don’t have to restart.
- Click Start
- Click Run
- Type: %windir%\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks
- Hit enter
This will resent your operating system. You can create a shortcut for this on your desktop. Let me know if you don’t know how to create a shortcut on your desktop.
