How to safely backup your computer data

When a computer disaster strikes it strikes unannounced and sometimes, seemingly, without reason. When your computer crashes and you’re not prepared for it the greatest casualty is your data whether it is your documents, videos and images, different chat sessions and e-mails. Years of hard work can be washed off in just a few minutes if you don’t take regular backups of your computer data.

Taking regular backups of your computer data may seem like an extremely uphill task especially nowadays when an average hard disk can contain multiple gigabytes of data.  But it doesn’t have to be a tedious process if you can devise a system of taking regular backups.  For instance you can use an external USB hard drive to just take the backup of your My Documents  folder (this shows how important it is to save files at proper places so when you need to take backups you know where they are).  Similarly select different days to take different backups.  Even your browser settings reside in a particular folder and if you can simply copy that folder on to your backup drive you can easily get the backup of all your browser settings like passwords, logins, bookmarks and other setting. Read in detail on this link how you can safely backup your computer data on a regular basis.
