How to syncronize audio and video using VLC

by Sarah Watts on March 14, 2008

VLC is a great media player and there are many features that often remain untapped. For instance, have you ever come across videos with desyncronized audio and video: the lips move after or before the sound? I’ve got many songs that have this problem. There is a very easy way of correcting this. All you have to do is, change the audio desynchronization compensation. It is all explained here.

The post says that each time you make a change you have to stop and then restart the video, but someone in the comments section suggests that CTRL+k adds 50ms audio delay and CTRL+l subtracts 50ms audio delay and you don’t even have to stop and restart the video being played.
