How to take criticism constructively
Criticism can be both constructive and destructive and also obstructive and you should be able to make out what sort of criticism you are facing. When a person criticizes you it doesn’t mean that he or she wants to insult you or show you down; he or she may be simply trying to help you and improve your performance. Some people, although they mean well, don’t know how to be sensitive when providing criticism and it is up to you to make out what the real intention is.
Whenever someone criticizes you at office, at home or even on your blog just take a deep breath and try to say constructively through the criticism. Even if the criticism seems extremely negative just try to see what you can learn from it and how you can improve based upon the suggestions presented in the criticism. In your office if your boss criticizes you don’t become defensive immediately. Of course office politics is an inseparable aspect of your professional life, but not all people hold an ill intention against you when they present a criticism.
