How to upgrade from Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10

Now that Ubuntu 9.10 is being released you must be itching to get hold of the new Ubuntu version. In order to upgrade from Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10 you don’t need to download an ISO and burn it onto a CD if you’re already running a previous version of the Linux operating system. Simply press ALT+F2 and you come across this screen:

From the drop-down select “update-manager -d” (without quotes) like this:

If a new version of Ubuntu is available it will let you know and you can easily upgrade from there
